The River City Municipal Band (RCMB) begins its 35th summer season with band rehearsals starting Monday, May 6, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Clinton Middle School band room. The band will rehearse weekly on Mondays, with the season running through July 27. All area musicians are invited to come join the volunteer community band. All ages and abilities are welcome and there are no auditions. Simply bring your instrument and show up. An exterior door to the band room is visible from the parking lot. The
Clinton Community College has announced the winners of the 2024 High School Fine Arts Day , part of the Community College Month celebration. Area students were invited to submit their artwork in three categories – painting, drawing, and graphic design. Winners of each categories received a 3-credit on campus art course funded through the CCC Paul B. Sharar Foundation. Clinton Community College Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society held an induction ceremony for new members on March 4. Forty eight members were inducted into the CCC Alpha Theta Beta Chapter. Students are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa if they have achieved a 3.5 grade point and earned 12 credit hours. Clinton Community College is one of the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, which includes Muscatine Community College and Scott Community College.
